10 New Foods Coming in 2015 That You Should Get Excited About

by L.A. Creamery January 15, 2015 News 0 Comments

Every January, the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco turns into one enormous, bustling food hall for the Winter Fancy Food Show. Here you’ll find all the latest food trends, and it’s always fun to wander the aisles sampling the creative nibbles coming out — wheels of cheese rubbed with Earl Grey tea, crunchy broccoli snacks, zero-calorie noodles, and new products galore. It’s best to come with an appetite.

After Emma and I tasted our way through the show (and wore out our feet in the process), we sat down to decide on our favorites. Without further ado, here are ten new foods coming out in 2015 that you should definitely have on your radar!

L.A. Creamery Honeycomb Ice Cream

The honeycomb ice cream from L.A. Creamery is swirled with honeycomb made with organic blossom honey. Even with the honey, this ice cream wasn’t too sweet and had a great creamy texture.

“Chosen in November 2011 as one of Travel Channel’s “America’s Coolest Ice Cream Shops”, LA Creamery Artisan Ice Cream in Los Angeles goes above and beyond the typical frozen dessert creation. The first ice cream shop in LA to use completely organic dairy products, LA Creamery excels at providing delicious unique flavors like pistachio rose and honey lavender (my fave!) with no preservatives, antibiotics, hormones or anything artificial. Stock up on pints at Joan’s on Third and select Umami Burger locations.”

Limited Edition Hatch Chile Ice Cream

If you haven’t been made aware, let me just inform you that we are crazy for Hatch Chiles at Bristol Farms. So, it was a no-brainer when we were provided with an opportunity to partner with local ice cream artisans from L.A. Creamery to develop a Bristol Farms exclusive, limited edition Hatch Chile Ice Cream to offer our customers during Hatch Chile season. You may be skeptical, but I assure you – if you love Hatch Chiles, you will LOVE this ice cream. The flavor delivers the perfect peppery zing and smokiness from the chile, and finishes off with a zesty aftertaste. Those that shy away from spicy foods need not worry – the cream cuts any spice you would typically get from Hatch Chiles.

Our Hatch Chile ice cream is great enjoyed on its own, but we had the pleasure of enjoying a scoop sandwiched between two of our Hatch Chocolate Cherry Cookies from our Bakery. This was a winner! This ultimate Hatch Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich is a must try.

These ice creams were made in small artisan batches exclusively for Bristol Farms and will only be around until they sell out. So, starting August 22nd, grab them while you can! Let us know how you enjoy it.
